Update In Medicine NewcastleRCP Update in medicine conferences are held across the UK and are delivered by the RCP regional team. These events are designed to provide high-quality education and allow attendees to stay abreast of clinical advancements in medicine, develop professional skills and network with colleagues.
This is a full-day conference – registration will open from 8am until 9am. Refreshments and lunch are provided. We expect the event to finish at approximately 4.45pm.
Please note, this is a face-to-face event. We do not provide online access for this series of events.

Physicians and allied health professionals at all levels and across all medical specialties are welcome and encouraged to attend.
You do not have to be an RCP subscribing member to attend this event, but you may wish to consider becoming a member and benefiting from discounted registration fees.

Due to the rail strikes planned on 7-9 May and the scheduled maintenance on the Tyne Bridge, you may wish to plan ahead to avoid congestion and consider alternative routes where possible.
A small car park is located at the Hilton which operates on a first come, first served basis and uses automatic number plate recognition. A reduced parking rate will be available for conference delegates when your ticket is validated at reception.
Alternatively, the nearest car park is located at The Glasshouse (NE8 2BA), a flat rate fee is available if you pay on arrival.
The Tyne and Wear Metro park and ride is another option, the closest stations are Gateshead metro station (9-minute walk) and Newcastle Central station (12-minute walk).
