The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and our partners at the College of Physicians Malaysia (COPM) and the Malaysian Advanced Acute Internal Medicine and Ultrasound Society (MAAIMUS), are pleased to announce the launch of the RCP-COPM Tuanku Nazrin Travelling Fellowship – a unique opportunity to advance your professional journey while building global connections.
The fellowship will open for applications in August 2025 and the successful applicant will receive a grant of up to £2,000 to cover expenses associated with the fellowship. The successful applicant will be expected to spend two weeks in Malaysia, where they will gain invaluable insights into local healthcare practices and systems. Upon completing the fellowship, the candidate will share their learning in a report to both colleges, contributing to the exchange of knowledge across borders.
A successful candidate will be identified through open, competitive selection and will be awarded up to £2,000 to facilitate their placement. RCP, COPM and MAAIMUSS will work together to support the individual to maximise their learning opportunity.
The opportunity is currently reserved to those working in the UK health system, but consideration is being given to widening the scope of this fellowship in the future. The successful candidate is required to undertake a two-week placement in Malaysia and submit a written report to RCP and COPM within one-month of the completion of their placement.
Shortlisting and selection of the candidate will be undertaken by a panel of representatives from RCP, COPM and MAAIMUS.
