The Royal College of Physicians is an independent, patient-centred organisation representing tens of thousands of physicians worldwide. Our core mission is to drive improvements in health and healthcare through advocacy, education and research.
Our policy and campaigns work draws on our members' knowledge and expertise. We work to policy and campaigns priorities chosen in consultation with members. We work with government, politicians and other policymakers, royal colleges and other sector organisations to influence the way that healthcare is designed and delivered.
Before the 2024 general election we published our manifesto setting out five priority areas where the next UK government must take action: workforce, transformation, prevention, sustainability and innovation.
We also provided expert comment on key election issues and announcements.
Following the election, we published a response to the Labour Party’s election win.
