RCP-hosted Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy marks 15 million endoscopy procedures recorded since 2015

More than 15 million endoscopy procedures have now been captured through the National Endoscopy Database since 2015, according to a new annual report from the Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (JAG), which is hosted by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP). With more than 2.3 million procedures recorded in 2025 and over 530 sites now contributing data, the report highlights JAG's growing impact on quality improvement, training and accreditation across the UK and Ireland.
