The RCP designs and delivers high-quality education for many partners in the UK and across the world.
Our team of educationalists, learning technologists, event coordinators and project managers have expertise ranging from curriculum development to international workshop delivery. We can mobilise working and stakeholder groups easily to inform and collaborate on any design and offer a unique co-delivery alongside clinical faculty to deliver education.
International commissioned programmes
We have extensive experience of delivering programmes internationally, all of which are tailored to meet the specific needs of the country in which they are being delivered. We have recently worked in Brunei, Dubai, Iceland, India, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland and the USA.
Our track record of delivering sustainable faculty development programmes internationally, involves ensuring that a team of local educators is created to design and deliver education and leadership programmes to meet the needs of local learners.
UK commissioned programmes
We have many years of experience of designing bespoken education. We often work with organisations and societies which do not have their own education teams but want to adapt and bespoke our programmes to fit their needs
Curriculum design
Working in partnership we can help you develop and adapt curricula to meet evolving needs and local circumstances. We recognise and value the multidisciplinary and interprofessional nature of work in modern medical teams. We also recognise the pressures faced by clinical staff and services. We support curriculum development for improving team learning, service improvement and staff wellbeing in busy clinical workplaces.

We have developed groundbreaking credentialing models, including:
- Gender identity healthcare – interprofessional: with NHS England and University of London Worldwide
- Maternal medicine – pre- and post-CCT routes; with NHS England and HEE
- Clinician researchers – RCP leading on behalf of AoMRC; with NIHR CRN coordinating centre
- Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Practice in Adult Learning Disability: working with Edge Hill University
We also maintain and develop two historic credentials: the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H) and the Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (DGM) – with the British Geriatrics Society.
The key with credentials is to have sources of funding to develop them, our funding for those above generally came from commissioned services so come to us if you have support from NHSE on that basis. Email us at credential@rcp.ac.uk for a call.
Supporting clinicians as cliniciansSupporting educational research
We have worked with HEE over the past few years to support clinicians in research, firstly in producing a report on reasons for F3s not selecting specialty training and secondly in working with HEE on the Enhance project
