Curriculum and revalidation work

RCP educationalists and learning technologists work with clinicians and are commissioned to support the development and implementation of curricula and training pathways.

Recent examples

We designed and piloted the ‘Flexible Portfolio Training’ pathway in August 2019 for HEE.

"Portfolio trainees in specialties which cover the acute take in hard to recruit places will have one day a week protected for development in one of the following areas: clinical informatics, medical education, quality improvement or research”

The RCP shapes thinking about the future of revalidation via AoMRC projects and committees. We are also working to improve the quality and effectiveness of appraisals, through committees and working groups and supported by our portfolio of learning opportunities; including workshops and online resources focused on appraisal, feedback and communication skills.

We support SAS doctors working though the Portfolio (CESR) process, working closely with the GMC with three types of workshop and question and answer sessions.
