This popular digital conference prepares resident doctors for the transition into the medical registrar role. The programme is developed in collaboration with the RCP Resident Doctors' Committee and representatives from across the UK regions.

Whilst many sessions are designed to increase clinical confidence when handling acute medical emergencies, others focus on helping you develop your leadership skills and confidence.

This digital conference is streamed via an online conference platform. Although the 2025 programme is still in development you can register for the event and visit the conference platform here

This event will still be free for RCP subscribing members, but from 2025 the following registration fees will apply:

Non-subscribing resident doctors: £50
Non-subscribing consultant / SAS doctor: £100

Who should attend?

IMT3 and early grade registrars will find this particularly useful but all resident doctors are welcome. SAS doctors and those who have been on extended leave or out of programme are also encouraged to attend.

You do not need to be an RCP subscribing member to attend this event but you may wish to consider becoming an RCP member to attend the event for free.

Watching live and on-demand

Call the medical registrar 2025 will be live streamed on Thursday 10 July 2025.

Registered delegates can access all the content on-demand until Friday 28 November 2025, allowing you to refer back to any of the learning content and watch at your own pace.

This event is free to RCP subscribing members at all training and career grades. You may wish to consider becoming a member before booking.

The content aims to support IM2, IM3 and ST3 resident doctors with the clinical and professional transition to becoming the medical registrar.

However locally employed doctors, or those who have been on extended leave, or out of programme may also find the conference useful as a clinical refresher.

This online conference is free to RCP subscribing members and is now open for bookings.
