Harveian Oration and dinner 2025

The Spine

BOOKINGS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT

RCP fellows are invited to book tickets to the Harveian Oration and dinner, one of the oldest and most significant events in the RCP calendar. This year, the Oration and dinner will take place at The Spine, the RCP’s home in Liverpool, on Tuesday 21 October 2025.

The Harveian Oration was established in 1656 by William Harvey (1578–1657). Each year, the RCP continues the tradition by inviting a leading doctor or scientist to speak on issues relating to their field of work.

We are delighted to announce that this year Professor John Feehally MA DM FRCP will deliver the Oration titled ‘Nephrology – an exciting journey from birth to maturity’.

Tickets are £110 per person and include a five-course dinner with wine pairing.

Following the Harveian Oration, the evening events will commence with a drinks reception while soaking up the breathtaking views from the Axis, located on the 13th floor of The Spine.

You will then enjoy an exquisite five-course seated dinner, with wines carefully selected by our sommelier to accompany each course.

The evening will feature speeches from RCP president Professor Mumtaz Patel, as well as traditional college dinner customs, concluding with coffee and petit fours.

Please note that this is a fellow-only event. Book early to avoid disappointment – bookings will close on 3 October 2025.
