Meet your president - SAS week 2026
As part of SAS Week 2026, this special event brings together the presidents of the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for an open and timely conversation on how we better support and advocate for SAS doctors.
This is an opportunity to hear directly from senior leaders, and, crucially, to share your experiences, perspectives and priorities as an SAS doctor working in the UK.
The discussion will be chaired by Dr Eman Toeima, SAS lead at the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges.
We are pleased to be joined by:
- Professor Mumtaz Patel, president, Royal College of Physicians
- Professor Subodh Dave, president, Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Dr Claire McNaught, president, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
SAS doctors across all specialties, as well as colleagues who work closely with SAS staff, are warmly encouraged to attend. You do not need to be an RCP member or fellow to join.
