Peer Support Network 2024 October Cohort - Online

The Peer Support Network brings together doctors who are working towards their RCP Educator accreditation. The network is a blend of three 1-day workshops, together with access to a dedicated online site for discussion and activities.
By booking onto this Peer Support Network course, you will be automatically registered for all three workshops:
- Day 1: Wednesday 27 November 2024
- Day 2: Wednesday 29 January 2025
- Day 3: Tuesday 1st April 2025
During the course, delegates will undertake a small-scale, educational workplace project. They will use the workshops, as well as the online forums and activities, to discuss these projects, refine ideas, and provide support to their peers. A brief report of these projects is submitted and assessed by the RCP tutors.
I’ve found this entire teaching course and accreditation incredibly useful and accessible [...] Really feel it has changed my practice with evaluation and developing programmes of education.

Online events include small group discussions and interactive activities. Delegates will get the maximum benefit by being able to fully participate. This means:
- When making your booking we recommend you use an email associated with a Microsoft account. We require delegates to be logged into a Microsoft account to be able to fully participate in small group discussions and interactive activities. You will also need to be logged in to Microsoft for the RCP systems to recognise you and be able to issue you with a Certificate of Attendance.
- Some organisations’ security settings make it difficult to fully participate. If you have previously experienced issues accessing slides, video, audio, or breakout rooms whilst in Teams, please speak to your IT department prior to the event to troubleshoot. You can also contact the RCP to test-run the connections prior to the event. Most NHS accounts are linked to a Microsoft account and generally do not experience issues using Teams. Often home/personal emails are not linked to Microsoft and may not allow full participation.
- You will have the best experience joining the event using a desktop or laptop. Mobile phones and tablets typically do not allow full participation. For best results ensure your device is up-to date with any required software updates.
- You will need a microphone and a camera to fully participate.
To complete the RCP Educator accreditation you will also need to attend the following workshops:
- On-the-job teaching
- Effective teaching skills
- Workplace-based assessment
