Teas from the Garden: seasonal workshop

Close Up Of Hands Picking Basil Leaves

Join the RCP Garden team for a delightful evening of tea tasting and blending featuring ingredients grown in the Medicinal Garden. Led by our expert gardeners create a blend to take home or give as a festive gift!

The evening will include an introduction to exhibition Healing words that features beautifully handwritten family recipe books used to share knowledge about treatments and cures within communities in England, 1500-1800.

Discover the properties of herbs featured in the exhibition many of which are grown in the RCP’s own Medicinal Garden. Taste a sample of teas created from these ingredients perfect for different times of the day – from perking you up in the morning to a soothing blend at the end of the day. Finally guided by our expert gardeners taste a combination of different flavours and create your very own tea blend to take home with you – or deliver as a unique Christmas, Hanukkah or seasonal gift.

The RCP medicinal garden contains over 1,100 plants with links to medicine. The myriad stories they tell come from diverse cultures, different countries and from every age in recorded history.
