The Harveian Oration was established in 1656 by William Harvey (1578–1657). Each year, the RCP continues the tradition by inviting a leading doctor or scientist to speak on issues relating to their field of work.
The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) invites Fellows to the Harveian Oration and dinner, one of the oldest and most significant events in our calendar. Strictly fellows only. The Harveian Oration was established in 1656 by William Harvey (1578–1657). Each year, the RCP continues the tradition by inviting a leading doctor or scientist to speak on issues relating to their field of work. We are delighted to announce that this year Professor Avan Aihie Sayer MBBS PhD FRCP will deliver the Oration titled 'From bench to bedside and beyond: new horizons for translational ageing research'. Tickets are £110.00 per person and includes a five-course dinner with wine pairing.
The RCP looks forward to welcoming you and your guests to the new members admissions ceremony to celebrate the passing of your MRCP exam. There will be refreshments on arrival, heritage and garden tours, and a celebratory reception afterwards.
