Dr Elizabeth Ogden

Dr Elizabeth Ogden currently works exclusively in dermatology as an associate specialist in East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and as clinical lead of the Hertfordshire Community Trust Skin Health Service. She is a visiting senior clinical fellow at the Post Graduate Medical School, University of Hertfordshire, lecturing on dermatology topics and assisting in examinations. 
Elizabeth trained as a GP and started as a clinical assistant in dermatology. Her special interests are education, genital dermatology, paediatric dermatology, psychodermatology, and dermatology problems in pregnancy. 
Over the years, Elizabeth has worked as an associate specialist in reproductive healthcare, retiring from that in 2022. She was also an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow's Diploma in dermatology, as well as for the faculty of family planning and reproductive healthcare. Elizabeth was, for many years, on the Primary Care Dermatology Society Executive Committee and still supports their meetings. 

Dr Paarul Prinja

Dr Paarul Prinja works at Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust as both an acute and obstetric physician. She is an honary consultant obstetric physician at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. She is also the lead obstetric physician for the West Midlands Maternal Medicine Network and speciality adviser for obstetric medicine for the RCP London. Paarul is treasurer for the Macdonald Obstetric Medicine Society. 
She trained in intermediate critical care, is proficient in using ultrasound and has accreditation in focused echocardiography. Simulation training and education of the multi-disciplinary team are Paarul’s particular areas of interest, and she teaches locally on ‘ObSIM’ and nationally as course director for enhanced maternal care, run by Babylifeline training. Most recently, she is one of the co-authors of the RCP acute care toolkit 15 ‘managing acute medical problems in pregnancy’.

Dr Pujan Patel

Dr Pujan Patel is a consultant in respiratory medicine at Royal Brompton Hospital, London, honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College, NHLI and adjunct associate professor at St. Louis University Hospital, USA. Pujan completed his medical and subspeciality training in the States and is triple board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.

His interests span across a broad range of airways diseases, and he routinely manages tertiary referrals of complex asthma patients at the UK’s largest standalone severe asthma biologic service.

He serves on various committees for the British Thoracic Society (BTS), Asthma and Lung UK, and the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and continues to engage in medical education and teaching internationally.

Dr Sani Aliyu

Dr Sani Aliyu is a consultant in microbiology and infectious diseases at Cambridge University Hospitals and Caldicott guardian for the trust. He is also the clinical lead for the East of England HIV Network. 
Sani was the national coordinator of Nigeria’s presidential task force on COVID-19 from 2020–21 and director-general of the country’s national agency for the control of AIDS (NACA) from 2016–2019. 
His international commitments include membership of the African Union commission on pandemic preparedness and response, the Strategic Advisory Group for the WHO Foundation and the WHO AFRO Pandemic Response Technical Advisory Group. He also chairs the board of Georgetown Global Health Nigeria (GGHN) – a major not-for-profit organisation providing HIV and TB treatment programmes in northern Nigeria. 
Sani is a strong advocate for health system strengthening in resource-constrained environments and a champion for improved access to antiretrovirals in the developing world. His areas of interest include HIV epidemiology, pandemic preparedness and antimicrobial stewardship. 
Sani has co-authored 92 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to four book chapters. In recognition of his contributions to global health, he was conferred with the national honour of officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the Nigerian government in October 2022.

Dr Duncan Field

Dr Duncan Field is a cardiology consultant who trained in complex device implantation and extraction, as well as ablation of cardiac arrhythmias in Essex and New Zealand. He now practices at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre where he leads the Essex Device Service. Duncan is a world expert on the subcutaneous ICD and Proctors implantation internationally.

Dr Kneale Metcalf

Dr Kneale Metcalf is a stroke consultant in Norwich. He completed his training in Edinburgh before moving to Oxford as a registrar. 
Kneale led and set up the comprehensive Stroke Service in central Norfolk, including hyperacute care, a Rehabilitation Unit and early supported discharge. He is an honorary associate professor at the University of East Anglia, where he has a lead role in the year-5 medicine undergraduate course. Kneale also holds NIHR grants with UEA and NNUH colleagues and is the Integrated Stroke Delivery Network lead for the East of England (North). 

Dr Gareth Parkes

Dr Gareth Parkes is as a consultant in gastroenterology within the IBD team at the Royal London Hospital. He is the secretary of the IBD Committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology and was part of the team of authors of the current UK guidelines.

Gareth trained at Cambridge University and Bart’s, London and was awarded a PhD at King’s College London. He has an interest in commercial clinical trials and is NCI for several studies. In 2018 he co-founded Ampersand Health and developed MyIBD care to make life easier for patients with IBD and other immune-mediated disease. 

Gareth’s interests include the role of digital therapeutics, clinical trials in IBD, the role of the microbiota and probiotics and the use of technology in IBD OPD.

Dr Khin Swe Myint

Dr Khin Swe Myint is a consultant physician in endocrinology and clinical pharmacology based in Norwich and holds an honorary associate professor position at Norwich Medical School. She currently serves as an elected councillor for RCP London and is a member of the Endocrinology Exam Board for the RCP Federation. Additionally, she acts as a convener for endocrine cancer services and is a member of the Corporate Liaison Committee for the Society for Endocrinology. 

Khin Swe’s special interests include managing young people with diabetes, particularly during the transition from paediatric to adult care, adrenal services, neuroendocrine cancers, and obesity management. 

Professor Richard Booton

Professor Richard Booton is a consultant respiratory physician at the North West Lung Centre and clinical director for lung cancer and thoracic surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. 
Richard has an honorary chair in respiratory medicine at the University of Manchester. He graduated from the University of Leeds and completed higher specialist training in the North West, followed by a fellowship in thoracic oncology at the Christie Hospital and the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research with Professor Nick Thatcher, receiving a PhD in 2006.
Richard has pioneered diagnostic pathway innovation and the implementation of lung cancer screening. He is an active clinical researcher particularly in screening and diagnostics, and an active adviser to numerous organisations including BTOG, NHSE and industry.
