What do we need to make QI work for you?

Join us for an open, interactive session designed to explore what our RCP improvement community members need to participate in meaningful quality improvement. From our first two sessions in the series, we have identified the important role RCP plays in shaping the future of QI for our members. Many of our doctors describe the phenomenon of QI becoming a tick-box exercise and not leading to a better patient experience. The impact of short rotations and competing clinical priorities are often cited as barriers.
In this session we want to explore further the challenges, obstacles and opportunities that you face when undertaking QI work.
Whether you are just starting out, whether you're an undergraduate medical student, resident doctor, consultant, or part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, we want to hear from you to gain your valuable insights on how we can make the experience of doing QI better. What do you need to make QI work for you?
Together, we will:
- Share experiences and challenges faced in undertaking QI
- Outline the specific needs of different groups for building QI capability
- Begin shaping practical, inclusive resources that help people take their first steps in improvement work.
This is a space for honest conversation, collaboration, sharing and co-design.
These sessions will inform the overarching QI strategy for the college and its members, so your opinion really matters. You do not need to have attended the first two sessions to take part.
Let’s talk about it and build something better and stronger for QI together.
