In this video Professor Catherine Meads discusses health inequalities in LGBTQ+ communities. Professor Meads outlines what you, as a healthcare professional, can do to ensure you are not contributing to or worsening health inequalities within these communities.
Professor Meads has been conducting research into lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) health since 1992 and has published a number of ground-breaking papers in this area. She carried out a best-evidence review for Public Health England on health and healthcare experiences of UK sexual minority women and was a member of the UK Government Equalities Office LGBT Advisory Panel.
