The RCP invites applications for the role of garden fellow from members and fellows who have a keen interest in medicinal plants.
The RCP has developed a leading modern physic garden at our Regent’s Park home. Our garden fellows provide tours of the garden to public and professional visitors to the RCP and outline the role of plants in medicine. Demand for tours is increasing, and we would like to recruit a limited number of additional garden fellows to supplement our existing group of nine. Applicants should have an existing interest in medicinal plants and be prepared to learn more. Good face-to-face communication and people skills are an essential requirement.
Garden fellows are expected to lead tours of the RCP garden and may also be asked to contribute to publications about the garden, assist with the garden website, make podcasts and contribute to the lecture programme.
Applicants should be RCP subscribing members or fellows and able to travel easily to the RCP garden. Applications are encouraged from the full diverse range of the college’s membership.
For more information, please contact Professor John Newton (john.newton@rcp.ac.uk).
To apply please send a brief CV and a one-page cover letter by Sunday 16 February 2025 outlining your interest in and suitability for the role to john.newton@rcp.ac.uk
The RCP positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, transgender status, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
