The Resident Doctor Committee of the Royal College of Physicians invite submissions for the Teale essay prize. Applications are encouraged from SAS and resident doctors. The winner will receive £200, and a fee-waiver for the College’s annual conference.
How to enter
To enter, please write an essay of 500 – 1,500 words in connection with the following:
Should we end rotational training for physicians?
Manuscripts exceeding 1,500 words will not be considered.
Please email your CV and completed application form in PDF format to fundingandwards@rcp.ac.uk no later than 23:59, Sunday 9 March 2025.
Eligibility
- Anyone in core training (IMT) or in physician HST (regardless of RCP membership)
- Any other resident doctor (inc. FYs and LEDs) that are associate members of the RCP
- Not open to medical students
- The essay must not have been previously published.
