MTI Induction session
Induction overview
Our virtual induction will cover key topics essential for your training in the UK. You will have the opportunity to engage with experts from both the MTI and ePortfolio teams, who will be available to answer all your questions.
Who should attend?
This event is designed specifically for doctors participating in the medical training initiative run by the RCP.
The Induction is by invitation only and for the doctors who are currently in the UK, participating in the MTI scheme.

- Direct engagement: Interact with the RCP MTI Team and get your questions answered
- ePortfolio insights: Learn about the ePortfolio system and how to effectively use it
- Support on offer: Hear how to make the most of your time in the UK
- Networking opportunities: Connect with fellow MTI doctors and build your professional network.

Event for supervisors
Share and learn event for MTI supervisors and employing organisations.
Following the launch of our Global supervision pack: Medical training initiative (MTI), the MTI team offers free sessions for supervisors who are looking to learn more about the scheme.
Are you a supervisor wanting to understand more about the MTI scheme?
Join the team for a dedicated session where you will be able to ask any questions you have, gain valuable insights into supporting your MTI trainees and ensuring a successful learning experience.
This session will include:
- Information on the experience of doctors who take part in the MTI scheme
- What the RCP can offer in terms of support
- Information on the recommended support from the NHS organisations including onboarding and inductions once the doctor has arrived in the UK
- Guidance on pastoral care.

Building your NHS career: next steps for international medical graduates
The RCP are pleased to host an online webinar aimed at International Medical Graduates (IMG's) in their first few years of NHS experience. The webinar will introduce attendees to the various options for postgraduate training in the UK and tips for building a comprehensive portfolio, how to make the most from your supervisor.
We hope that by the end of this webinar participants will feel have a clearer understanding of NHS career progression routes and greater confidence in navigating their professional development within the system.
A certificate of attendance will be provided.
