Following the resignation of four members of the Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA) Board, work is underway to put in place interim FPA leadership arrangements.
FPA president Jamie Saunders and vice president Chandran Louis have resigned this week with immediate effect, as have two other Board members.
Following an RCP extraordinary general meeting (EGM) in March this year and with regulation in sight, the RCP and FPA have begun to develop a timeline for an independent future home for PAs. FPA members recently voted to begin discussions with the RCP about becoming an independent organisation.
Both organisations will now work to ensure interim leadership for the FPA is in place. Access to FPA web resources and member benefits remains unchanged.
