After acting as interim editor for a year, Dr Kevin Fox has been appointed substantively as the editor of the Future Healthcare Journal (FHJ).
Kevin will lead the work of the editorial board to invite peer review of and publish high-quality material, shape the journal’s future editorial strategy and advise on its development.
Following undergraduate medical studies in Cambridge and London, Dr Kevin Fox trained in medicine and cardiology in London and South East England. Since 2004 he has been a consultant cardiologist based at Imperial College where he led the department between 2011 and 2017. He is also a consultant physician and cardiologist at Balfour Hospital, Kirkwall, Orkney.
Beyond his clinical work he has served as president of the British Society of Echocardiography, vice president of the British Cardiovascular Society and holds offices within the European Society of Cardiology. His areas of interest include cardiac imaging and heart failure, certification and trainee examinations for cardiology healthcare professionals, quality assurance, and the future of healthcare services.
