RCP launches new journal website

The RCP, in conjunction with HighWire Press, is pleased to announce the launch of our new journals site, rcpjournals.org.

This responsive site offers a much improved reading experience in all browsers and on all devices. It also offers the reader new functionality, including:

  • Publish ahead of print
Articles in Clinical Medicine (ClinMed) and Future Healthcare Journal (FHJ) will be published online as soon as they are ready, without having to wait for the next issue of the print journal to be published. This will benefit both readers and authors as times to publication will come down.
  • Subject collections
We have grouped content from both ClinMed and FHJ into subject collections, so you can now read up on current hot topics in one place.
  • Easy navigation
The navigation menus — both the overarching main menu and the menus for the individual journals — have been designed to guide you to the desired information in just a few clicks. Content can be browsed easily by publication period, and background information about each journal — as well as information for authors, reviewers and advertisers – is easy to find.

Future site developments will include uniquely online content, such as online-only articles, author videos and podcasts.

Professor Anton Emmanuel, medical director of publishing for the RCP, said:

Clinical Medicine and Future Healthcare Journal are valued by readers and represent proud outputs from the RCP. We are delighted therefore to further showcase these journals on our new journal website. The new site offers an improved experience for readers with a clean design and easy click through to current articles and our archive. In addition, the new layout optimises access to the clinical images and cases which update on a monthly basis.’
