The RCP has commissioned The King’s Fund to carry out an independent review to learn lessons from its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) in March.
The EGM focused on the fellowship’s concerns around physician associates. We recognise the handling of the meeting and the presentation of membership survey data fell short of the high standards expected of us.
The review is now entering phase two with invitations to interview to gain a range of perspectives on the events surrounding the EGM being sent this week. Interviewees will include representatives from Council, the Board of Trustees, the EGM signatory group and RCP staff. All Council members will be encouraged to give feedback through a written submission.
