Resident doctor committees write to appeal the decision to exclude resident doctors impacted by MRCP(UK) Part 2 marking error from the current higher specialty recruitment round

Today the resident doctor committees of the three royal colleges of physicians have written to the statutory education bodies (SEBs), appealing their decision not to allow those affected by the MRCP(UK) part 2 exam issues to progress into higher specialty training from the recent recruitment round. The RCP fully supports their recommendations.

Doctors confirm ‘corridor care’ crisis as 80% forced to treat patients in unsafe spaces

Message from the Registrar on incorrect MRCP(UK) Part 2 results

In a new position statement, launched as part of the NextGenPhysicians campaign, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) describes resident doctors’ growing concerns about their future in the NHS and calls for a review of postgraduate training that ensures publicly funded medical school places result in more NHS doctors.
