Vacancies: Associate global directors for the Americas, and Middle East and North Africa

Could you lead our global activities and engagement?

Recruitment is now open for three clinical leadership roles in our RCP Global team, global vice president, associate global director for the Americas, and associate global director for the Middle East and North Africa.

 

RCP fellows are invited to apply to become our next global vice president, associate global director for the Americas and associate global director for the Middle East and North Africa.

With members in more than 130 countries, examples of our global work include the delivery of membership engagement events, support for local member networks, joint conferences, seminars and webinars, clinical and non-clinical training sessions, projects and partnerships aligned to strategic aims such as the East, Central and Southern Africa College of Physicians (ECSACOP) and delivery of the Medical Training Initiative (MTI) scheme.

The global vice president is responsible for providing clinical leadership of the RCPs international membership, partnerships and projects. Associate global directors support the work of the global vice president and wider global team by acting as a representative and conduit for information to and from membership and partners in the region they represent. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong connection to and deep understanding of the region that they wish to represent.

Associate global directors for the Americas, and Middle East and North Africa

RCP fellows with experience of delivering partnership activities internationally are invited to apply to become an associate global director working to help us deliver the objectives set out in the RCP Global strategy. The associate global director role is an honorary position with a fixed, 1-year term that can be extended to a maximum 4-year term.

Guide our activities

Associate global directors guide our activities within specific regions of the world, building links with local physicians and institutions, participating in clinical training projects and acting as RCP representatives. The successful candidates will work closely with the team of international advisers in their respective region acting as a conduit for information between them and the global vice president and wider global team.

Demonstrate your experience

There are two associate global director roles being advertised representing the Americas and Middle East and North Africa and applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of developing partnerships and implementing projects in their chosen region. Supported handovers and induction will be provided for the successful candidates.

The cover letter should clearly set out how you fulfil the requirements of this post as outlined in the role description, which can be downloaded below, and make clear which of the roles you are applying for.

Interviews will take place virtually via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 11 March 2025.

The successful candidates will take up office upon appointment in May 2025.
